Retreat and Flower Sunday

The Wellesley College Choir started off the year with a busy week! Auditions were on Sunday and Monday, and all of our spots were completely filled! Then, callbacks were on Thursday, new choirbees were notified on Friday just in time for our retreat on Saturday for our performance for Flower Sunday. Phew. Doesn't it make you tired just reading about it?

We had a fantastic time at retreat. Not only did we learn lots of fun, new songs, but there was lots of choir bonding, name games, and delicious food. It was seven hours well spent!

Aw...look at all those new choirbees having lunch!

And we can't forget about Flower Sunday! We had an amazing time as usual contributing to the multi-faith service. With our bouquets of daisies in hand, the choir sang two songs, "Down in the Valley to Pray," arranged by Michael Cleveland, and an arrangement of "Hope" by Sweet Honey in the Rock. The Wellesley Community loved it, and we loved it too! And just look at all these gorgeous choirbees all decked out and dressed up.
