Choir Bee of the Week: Lauren Heller '17
Lauren Heller is our Choir Bee of the Week! She is consistently the most participative and astute member of the choir, asking questions and paying attention to detail for each and every one of our pieces. Let's get to know this Choir Bee!
1. Hometown: Rhinebeck, New York
2. Favorite musical artist: The piccolo player from the West Point Band (I met him on a field trip!)
3. Favorite song to put you in a happy mood: Take On Me by A-Ha
4. Who would star in a film made about your life? Amanda Seyfried because someone told me I look like her once, even though I don't really think that's true
5. What’s the last book you read for fun? The French version of the first Harry Potter book
6. What’s a song that always gets stuck in your head? Strauss Horn Concerto No. 1 because my sister is always playing it
7. What is something you can’t live without? My bicycle
8. If you could have fancy brunch with anyone (living or dead) who would it be and why? Emmy Noether because she was an awesome mathematician
9. What’s your favorite food? Winter squash
10. Who is your personal hero/heroine: An old lady from my church
11. What movie could you watch over and over? Bringing Up Baby
12. If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? New Zealand
13. If you could go back and visit any time period, what time would you travel to and why? When plants and animals first moved onto land, assuming that I wouldn't die from lack of food or something
14. What is your favorite word? Enamored
15. Something people wouldn’t guess by looking at you is: I love to go up high, ie. ropes courses, climbing trees. (Some people in choir know this already.)
16. Why is a raven like a writing desk? Because they can both have feathers on them? I'm thinking of quills, but this seems unlikely.
