Choir Bee of the Week: Sophie Rowland '17

This week's Choir Bee of the Week is Sophie Rowland! As a strong musician and a member of the Guild of Carillonneurs, Sophie leads the Soprano 2 section; she also brings the choir together. Let's get to know her!

3. Favorite song to put you in a happy mood: Demons by Fatboy Slim
4. Who would star in a film made about your life? Chloe Grace Moretz
5. What’s the last book you read for fun? All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
6. What’s a song that always gets stuck in your head? I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts by Merv Griffin
7. What is something you can’t live without? I can't live without someone to talk to. 
8. If you could have fancy brunch with anyone (living or dead) who would it be and why? 
I would have fancy brunch with Misha Collins because he is one, a favorite actor of mine and two, an exceedingly interesting and odd individual. 
9. What’s your favorite food? Mac and cheese
10. Who is your personal hero/heroine: Emily Dickinson
11. What movie could you watch over and over? Pride and Prejudice
12. If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go?
I would visit Italy because I am a Classics major, after all.
13. If you could go back and visit any time period, what time would you travel to and why?
I would travel to the Roman Republic because I could finally be apart of an immersive language program for Latin.
14. What is your favorite word? Palimpsest (n): a page where the original writing has been erased and written over but traces still remain
15. Something people wouldn’t guess by looking at you is: I am straight, despite the short hair, flannels, and sensible sweaters. 

16. Why is a raven like a writing desk? Both have feathers. One uses them for flight, the other to write.
